I’ve spent my life being small. At least it feels that way. And it’s time to proclaim that being small carries dangers and we should avoid it. Not only do the times call for big, to fully own our potential, we have to be ok with “being big.”
While the wonderful crowd of community supporters energized the event, what struck us most was a message from the podium. Not the one from the Mayor of Phoenix or the head of the Foundation, but a young man named Richie who shared his story. He talked about how the Youth Center was his home.
When community is put front and center, a project begins to take flight.
